Several people have asked about reading to prepare you for the trip. Reading material on the
Paionians is scarce outside Macedonia. But any general history of ancient Macedonia would be
good preparation. One we recommend is "History of Macedonia," by R. Malcolm Errington.
Also, the chapter on the Paionians in the TFAHR 2008 report (starting on p. 4) summarizes a lot
of the Macedonian work on the history of the Paionians.
The following is a slide show which will introduce you to the methodology and recording system
TFAHR uses on the Macedonia project. We will expect all participants to have studied this
presentation.
