The Texas Foundation For Archaeological & Historical Research was
incorporated in 1985, and has been a tax-exempt organization under Section
501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code since 1988.

The Foundation was originally established to enable Texas teachers and
students to expand their historical, archaeological and scientific knowledge
by providing opportunities for them to participate in archaeological
excavations and historical study expeditions overseas.

From 1985 - 2006 the Foundation provided for more than 100 trips for Texas
teachers, students and volunteers to excavations in:
Republic of Macedonia
Israel
Bulgaria
France
Study tours for small groups of teachers in Spain, France and Greece.

Since 2007, TFAHR has expanded its summer program into an International Field School, open to participants of all nationalities.  The 2007 to 2009
TFAHR International Field Schools in Macedonia have served over 90
teachers, students and volunteers from 16 countries.

TFAHR programs are supported by donations from individuals and
organizations. For information on how you can contribute to TFAHR
projects, please go to the "
